A "trial run"

The Mr.'s cousin just had engagement reception in the very venue that we choose.
Here are some thoughts:
- menu portion is soo tiny
- the room is proportioned weirdly. It is elongated and short on the width.
- acoustic music makes the atmosphere weird :/
- the room looks cold and not warm. I might want some par light to make the atmosphere warmer
- what kind of games to liven up the reception?
- music selection
- band selection
- wedding gown
- wedding photographer and videographer

My friend just got married at the church that we chose as well, just one day before the Mr's cousin's engagement. Here are some thoughts:
- the church looked kind of vacant. Make sure ushers "herd" the guests to occupy the front seats
- gotta make sure the church doors are closed for the "sacred" atmosphere
- the choir has gotta be full
- the choir's outfit gotta be matching
- go to this Saturday's mass to hear the Cecilia choir in action
- book them
- give them the song list and song in MP3 (tell Sinta to do this?)

The house was just used for the Mr's gathering with his colleagues. It was kinda uneasy since the house is still full of dirt and construction leftover :/ Here are some thoughts:
- take care of the water meter - give copy of my ID to the foreman
- buy the water heater ariston nano from Karunia - call Karunia, is it ready stock?
- fix or buy new exhaust
- make appointment with the gorden man
- repaint walls, paint teralis, cabinet, chair and table
- install deck

We saw the church secretary a week ago, and realize that we're still far along from getting all the marriage paperwork done. Arrghhh...
- legalisir ktp, kk and akta lahir di balaikota
- ke RT/RW minta surat pernyataan akan menikah
- ke Kelurahan minta surat pengantar dan N1-N4
- Surat keterangan belum pernah menikah
- semua dibawa ke kecamatan untuk minta stempel
- sertifikat KPP dari Santo Petrus
- fotokopi SKBRI papa

Oh, the never ending task of picking out gowns and photos..

OK. Time to unravel my messy mind .... *drumroll*

To do list for today:
+ nagih nota
+ bikin nota
+ go to Sampurna photo, dad asks me to check them out.
+ go to Mammoth right away, compare, and when all looks good, pay downpayment for photo
+ try out gowns in Mammoth
+ go to Natural, pick up stickers
+ go to Hendrik, try out gowns

Healthy drinks

I'm dreaming of making healthy drinks like pictured available all day long in my new home.
Aren't they pretty? (I realize that my motivation in almost all the things that I do is how pretty they will look)

There are all sorts of combination, from citrusy fruits, berries, cucumber, melons, et cetera.

flavored water

 You can infuse all sorts of herbs into the drinks as well, such as basil, citrus leaves (they smell soo good!), rosemary, et cetera.

Basil = kemangi

Cilantro = daun ketumbar
Rosemary = ?
Sage = ?
Thyme= ?
Tarragon = ?
Mint = ?

A nice quote

I come across a nice quote few days ago that I found useful:

"Sadness is a warning for us to increase our strength.
Happiness is a warning to be careful."

How true ... in everything, there are two sides of the coin.

Whenever we feel content, happy and "on top of the world", be careful where you put your feet or else you'll slip and fall.

Whenever we feel distressed, sad and powerless, rather than sink low and get trampled we must rise and shine.

Nobody told me that life is gonna be this hard.
Every moment is a chance to make a difference.
Every decision is a test of character.
Every word and action are to be owned.
